LICENSING REQUIREMENTS IN ITALY
c) Pistols/Revolvers Common firearms (sportshooting, hunting and self-defence) may be sold only to person holding a gun licence or an authorization from the Police
d) Airguns with energy lower than 7.5 joule are free
e) One barrel muzzle loading firearms are free
Specific requirements for dealers in shops.
For private persons storage of firearms and explosives must be secured with all diligence in the interests of public safety.
Some peculiar requirements could be imposed by the Police.
A hunting licence is necessary.
Some hunting may be practised under a concession with the state issued to citizens who apply for it and are in possession of the requisites established by the law:
* Minimun age: 18 years;
* Gun licence for hunting;
* Insurance policies;
* National and regional fees and taxes.
Visitors can carry firearms if in possession of European Firearms Pass.
Junior over 14 years of age may take part in clay sport-shooting competitions, provided they are accompanied by a shooter of full age.
Junior over 14 years of age may take part in target competitions. But up to their 16th year they may shoot only with airguns.
